Since Amberlee (sisterinlaw) and her family were in town, the Fairbanks Clan decided to head up to Columbia to go panning for gold. We had a ton of fun and the kids enjoyed every second of it. Mikayla and Jocelyn might not have found much gold, but they loved finding all the pretty colored rocks and stones in their pans. As for Austin, he just loved playing in the water. As we went through the old town there was a saloon where we had lunch, a history musuem where Mika wanted to play some more but everyone else was leaving, candy shops, icecream shops, and lots of old shops there aren't actually open, but they have all the old items in them. Ex: Pharmacy, Dentist, Fire Dept, jail, courhouse...etc. What a fun day. I think we would all love to go back some time!
